Rio Grande Valley Wildlife Rescue

Dear visitor, The best way for you to contact me is through an email to yourpetsfriend(at)gmail.com. My rescue phone number 551-6335 is becoming unusable due to the increased number of spam calls, robot dialers, after hours calls to drop off stray puppies, kittens and sick pets flooding my phone system. I must often turn that phone off in order to have the time to tend to the sick and orphaned wildlife already in my care. Ron Hines

Rio Grande Valley Wildlife Rescue In Brownsville, Texas

The Rio Grande Valley of Texas has one of the most unique and fragile wildlife populations in North America. Let’s help save them!

Email before coming by, or a phone message. (956) 551-6335) Dr. Hines and his wife can’t away be at the telephone to answer your calls. The majority of the time he is with the animals he is caring for. But you can always leave an email message for him.

A White Wing Dove’s Egg Fell Out Of The Nest:

A Bobcat Kitten Broken Its Leg:

A Baby Mockingbird Broke Its Leg:

Turtles & Tortoises Get Run Over:

Fox Live In The Valley Too

A Baby Grackle With Broken Leg Returns To McDonald’s

These creatures all rely on your charity. If you have seen something in a hospital, nursing home, HEB or Walmart, we can use it & Dr. H. can fix it. Also, most appreciated would be a used dental x-ray machine/or small portable, and an ultrasound unit and a pediatric transducer. Here are some of the other things we can always use:

This Facility does not pick up or transport injured wildlife. Dr. Hines does not treat dogs and cats anymore – even if it is after hours and your regular vet is closed. He has limited freezer space for fish. A pelican eats up to 4 pounds of fish per day. Because of that, his large case load and other factors, please do not arrive unannounced. Please do not be upset, leave bad reviews or complain to Austin if his facility has no open spaces at the time. No one pays him for his efforts, the medications he gives or the food the animals consume. If no one picks up the phone, it is because everyone is fully occupied tending to sick or orphaned animals. He will return your call when he can. (956) 551-6335 If you get a recording, please speak your phone number slowly and clearly. Include the City you live in. The Rio Grande Valley desperately needs more people like you helping wildlife that are in need. You don’t need a lot of fancy, degrees and education. What you need is a generous heart.

No necesitas mucha fantasía, títulos y educación.
