Vetspace/2nd Chance, through its use of Google Analytics, collects two types of information from users like you: information provided by the user in order to receive requested information and information passively collected upon a user’s visit to this website. I use that information to track the website’s performance and solve coding issues when they arise.
PASSIVELY COLLECTED INFORMATION:
INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE USER:
Users may provide Vetspace/2nd Chance and Dr. Hines with non-personally and personally identifiable information in order to utilize certain services such as sending me an email. Google also suggests that I state that such instances may not be noticeable to the user and that they include, but are not limited to: filling out surveys, completing registration information, and submitting certain online forms. None of that occurs on this website.
USE OF INFORMATION:
2nd Chance and Dr. Hines use information collected solely for internal purposes, such as email correspondence or to see what pages are most frequently visited, in order to improve the website. Dr. Hines / Vetspace/2nd Chance does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
All information provided to Vetspace/2nd Chance is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that allows your browser to automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to me.
Whenever this website contains links to other websites. Please note that when you click on one of those links, you are entering another website for which Vetspace/2nd Chance and Dr. Hines have no authority. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on all such sites as their policies might be different than mine.
On a side note, Dr. Hines has very little control over the ads that Google chooses to run on his website. Be cautious about ads that claim to have experts standing by to answer your pet health questions or that offer marvelous cures. Dr. H. blocks as many of those ads as he can, but they tend to reappear under slightly different names. Let him know if you find one to be objectionable or dishonest.
